Pragnell The Challenge

For many years Pragnell had been trading offline through their three UK showrooms, alongside a non-transaction website which drove a low amount of customer & product enquiries.

The previous Umbraco content-management platform was not considered ‘agile’ and adding a commerce function to the platform was deemed risky and not flexible enough for Pragnell‘s ambitious digital plans.

As a luxury retailer, it was very important for Pragnell, one of the only family-owned, full-service jewellers in the UK, to evolve and be successful in the ever-changing digital commerce landscape of the 21st Century.



Pragnell The Solution

A Remarkable partnership enabled a transition for Pragnell, to become a modern-day retailer. Within only a few months from order, the Remarkable Commerce team created a brand new trading platform for George Pragnell, and it was launched in June 2020.

The platform’s headless architecture has enabled Pragnell to move towards omni-channel retailing – where in-store staff are connected to online customers.



Pragnell Stand-out Feature

With over 300 hand-built custom-designed content pages, the Pragnell storefront is rich with useful product content, brand history and campaign content. Pragnell required several new components to be built into their CMS version, to enable them to build pages at speed and use template based components to ensure styling remained consistent throughout the site. Included in the build project were 10 customisations to existing CMS components, which Remarkable Commerce rebuilt and tailored in-time for the Pragnell.co.uk eCommerce launch in June 2020.

Launched in late 2021; Pragnell relied upon Remarkable Commerce to build a fully custom project to satisfy their unique and personal customer proposition. The Loveletters project is a custom bracelet tool, where customers can design and build their own bracelet – then, enquire for more information, or buy online. Collaborating with ThreeKit to deliver the 3D modelling and project managing the full task, Remarkable delivered the project on-time and within budget.
