Remarkable Sponsor Prestigious Shakespeare Lunch

On Saturday 23rd April we had the pleasure of attending and sponsoring the prestigious Shakespeare birthday lunch in Stratford-On-Avon, hosted by Alexander Armstrong.

The Shakespeare Birthday Lunch celebrates William Shakespeare’s 458th birthday and sits amongst a 200-year celebratory tradition for the residents of Stratford-on-Avon and the global network of William Shakespeare fans.

Although long time supporters of the event – it was the first time that our client Pragnell presented and hosted the event.

Pragnell is one of the UK’s only family-owned, full-service jewellers, marking life’s significant moments with pieces of exceptional beauty, rarity and quality. Their flagship showroom is in Stratford and have been a Remarkable client since 2020.

Presented at the lunch is the ‘Pragnell Shakespeare Birthday Award’ (PSBA), the award celebrates individuals who have significantly furthered society’s understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the Bard’s work. Previous recipients have included Sir Kenneth Branagh, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Patrick Stewart and Dr John Kani. This year’s winner was a deserving Adrian Lester, CBE.

In attendance alongside Adrian Lester were big stars of stage and screen including Joanna Lumley, Maureen Lipman, Dame Judi Dench and Stephen Fry.

The delicious 3-course birthday lunch was accompanied by fine wines and champagne and performances from the Royal Shakespeare Company. It was an absolute honour to be part of such a wonderful and esteemed event. Thanks for having us!
