Overview
M&Co are a longstanding womenswear brand that was acquired by AK Retail Holdings (Yours Clothing group, which included the brands Yours, Long Tall Sally, Bad Rhino and Pixie Girl) in early 202. Yours Clothing Group had the plan to transform the brand into a successful online retailer and give their loyal customers a fresh collection of clothing to discover and purchase.
The challenge
Once AK Holdings took hold of the brand, it was clear that the company needed to freshen up its digital offering - rebuilding from the ground up on an agile, stable and scalable platform that would make it easy to innovate the customer journey across desktop and mobile experiences.
The previous eCommerce platform was operated by the previous owners and team, which was shut down and a holding page was created, whilst the new storefront was built. The biggest challenge was regarding the project timeline, and not wishing to keep customers waiting too long.
The Solution: Launched within 10 weeks
The new owners of M&Co chose the Remarkable Commerce platform as the ideal foundation for reimagining the brand, as their other brands all use the same platform. Remarkable's ability for a rapid migration coupled with a lightning-fast, stable headless architecture, made it the ideal choice.
Quick Migration
Relaunched weeks later on the Remarkable Commerce platform, the new M&Co website is a high-speed and highly-optimised eCommerce store with improved customer journeys and UX.
WMS
Fully integrated with the Remarkable WMS, and connected with the other Yours Clothing group brands, M&Co is now operated efficiently and effectively. The shipping options match the other brands and orders are managed in the same process, allowing the group to offer great shipping and returns options from launch.
API First
The platform's headless, API-first architecture has accelerated the trading and performance for M&Co - streamlining marketplace integration, payment method expansion and the launch of a feature-rich mobile app, relying on a stable and fast API library.
