New Revolutionary Web Platform For Moss Bros Hire

Remarkable Commerce are proud to announce the launch of a revolutionary new Moss Bros Hire platform – where selecting and hiring a suit for any occasion is now very straight forward and can be booked within a few minutes or less.

When it comes to hiring a suit the process can be complex even when a customer is in a store as there are many different options, sizing and organisation of group hire. Moss Bros wanted to turn this perception on its head and allow customers to complete even large orders for an entire group easily online.

The Remarkable Commerce team began work on the new development around 6 months ago, with advanced functionality and boundary-pushing possibilities requested. It was a large development with a custom journey and many advanced integrations that needed to be designed and built entirely from scratch but the Remarkable Commerce team rose to the challenge and the new site was completed and launched as planned.

On the new Moss Bros Hire site a customer is now able to:

  • Personalise their outfit with mixing and matching different style items.

  • Save for later; by creating an account and saving your selections to return to later, either in-store or on-line.

  • Set different store or home addresses for collection/delivery and return.

  • Use a new and intuitive Wedding Group Booking System.

Further features which the Remarkable Commerce team have delivered are:

  • A fully responsive design for mobile, tablets and desktops, now customers can easily hire across all devices and browsers.

  • Integration with 3rd party booking system Booking Bug & Internal Management Systems (J2B2, Cross Channel).

  • UPG Payment Gateway Integration.

The new platform is very closely tied in with stores to create a blended hire process for customers – if they wish to start the process online and then complete in store or vice versa there is a seamless connection between the website and bricks and mortar store operations and they can now work together to create the best experience.

It is early days but sales since launch have increased substantially via the new platform and we are confident performance will be significant by the year end.

Moss launched their Hire service in 1897 from their original Covent Garden store, shifting their focus to specialising in evening wear and wedding outfit hire in 1947. Fast forward to 1991 and Moss open their first hire department inside their Covent Garden store, along with a barber’s shop! 24 years later and Moss change focus towards improving their online Hire offering, revamping their Hire website and opening the door for customers to hire, manage group hire’s and plan large events with ease.
