Roman commission warehouse robotics system integration 🤖
Based in Birmingham, Roman is a traditional retailer that sells ladieswear to customers across the UK, through their website and on multiple marketplaces, as well as in-store with a portfolio of 100+ UK brick-and-mortar stores.
Roman began selling online in 2007, back when digital sales were a very small portion of their business. Over the years to come, the brand and website began growing with Roman seeing fantastic growth.
By 2022, Roman were beginning to outsize their current warehouse and there were several requirements for more space, more automation and a more efficient way of processing the thousands of orders being received per hour.
With a third warehouse now purchased and coming online, Roman began researching and searching for a robotics solution that would fulfil their ambitious growth plans - quickly finding AutoStore.

AutoStore is already being used by another Remarkable Commerce client, Direct Soccer, who first implemented their AutoStore robotics solution in 2020. Direct Soccer have said that the AutoStore solution has given them increase storage capacity - within the same warehouse footprint, 24/7 access to inventor and best-in-class energy consumption, to keep energy use low.
In partnership with ElementLogic, Remarkable will be architecting and developing a unique and bespoke middleware solution, which connects the AutoStore robotics solution, with a state-of-the-art warehouse management system - built to Roman's exact requirements.
